There is a dashboard camera in the car I rented. What is it for?

In some of the cars presented on our MyRentAuto service, cameras with front and rear locations can be installed. This is part of the process of improving security, as well as protecting our customers from the liability of third-party claims.
What will the camera record? This device is safe, fixing only wrongful events. This means that video recording occurs only when an incident occurs (sudden acceleration / deceleration / rotation, collision or distraction). Drivers can also initiate event recording. Whatever is recorded, the faces of the driver and passenger will always be blurred.

What will happen to the records?
Records are kept only in the event of an incident and then sent directly to our insurance companies to ensure effective processing of claims and to protect MyRentAuto customers from liability of third-party claims.

How does the "Record" button work?
If you think an unsafe event has occurred - that is, situations that do not necessarily trigger the recording device, but you think they may matter, you can also click the Record button once to record the event from the video " before and after". Clicking the “Mark” button will register the event 3 times (video before and after) and immediately send an alert to the MyRentAuto security team.
